We are delighted to welcome our new Partner, Lester Miller, to the patents practice at Laminar IP.

With a distinguished career spanning over 20 years as a registered Trans-Tasman Patent and Trade Mark Attorney, Lester brings a wealth of experience and a reputation for complex high-impact intellectual property strategies.

Lester represents Australian and international clients of all sizes across a wide range of engineering sectors.  He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for underwater turbines, carbon remote power storage systems, modular solar power, PAPRs, surfboards, fins, motorcycles, consumer products, O2O commerce, and banking transaction systems, amongst others.

Lester takes a pragmatic approach in assisting clients through every phase of the IP lifecycle, enabling them to secure strong IP positions and competitive advantages.  

Lester serves on the Public Consultation Projects team of the INTA Designs Committee, which assists governments in developing harmonised and efficient design legislation. He has also served as a juror for the Australian Good Design Awards and remains an ambassador there.
