Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering with First Class Honours and a Master of Biomedical Engineering both from the University of New South Wales. Mark’s thesis explored the biomechanical properties of tissue engineered cartilage in the repair and regeneration of native articular cartilage.
Mark has a range of experience across all areas of engineering and medical technologies, including furniture and lighting, homewares, packaging systems, automobiles, construction and scaffolding, consumer products, medical imaging, implantable bionics, ophthalmic treatments and devices, medical and surgical instruments, humanoids, prosthetics, diagnostic devices and industrial robotics.
Prior to joining Laminar IP, Mark worked in engineering and medical technology teams of leading Australian IP firms where he specialised in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a wide range of clients, including universities, research institutions, and global pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Mark also provided infringement and validity opinions.
