Biography

Mark is a founding partner of Laminar IP.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering with First Class Honours and a Master of Biomedical Engineering both from the University of New South Wales. Mark has over 12 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for a wide range of clients, including start-ups, universities, research institutions, and global pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Mark also provides infringement and validity opinions.

Mark has a range of experience across all areas of engineering and medical technologies, including autonomous aerial vehicles (drones), computer systems and networks, electrical and electronic circuits and devices, gaming, Internet of Things (IoT), power generation, charging devices, automobiles, construction and scaffolding, furniture and lighting homewares, household appliances, packaging systems, medical imaging, implantable bionics, ophthalmic treatments and devices, medical and surgical instruments, prosthetics, diagnostic devices and industrial robotics.

Mark is internationally recognised as a leading specialist in patent protection.
