Wei “Reed” Ren is a qualified Chinese Patent Attorney with over 20 years of experience in the intellectual property profession. Reed spent 12 years as a patent examiner at the Chinese Patent Office (“Chinese National Intellectual Property Administration”) where she conducted preliminary examination of patents and procedural documents. Reed also worked as the Patent Trading Director & Manager of Customer Service at the Hengqin International Intellectual Property Exchange Centre in Zhuhai, China where her role was to act as a bridge for IP supply and demand between China and other countries. Prior to joining Laminar IP, Reed worked with a New Zealand IP law firm where she assisted local businesses with fostering closer relations with partners in Asia-Pacific.
Reed has extensive experience in intellectual property management and analysis, with a deep understanding of patents and trademarks, and an acute insight into the role of IP in developing and maintaining a marketing strategy.
Reed is fluent in Mandarin.
